Corporate Compliance

hands

As safety director or human resource professional, you recognize the importance of maintaining a safe and healthy work environment for all company employees.

With approximately 2% of today’s workforce using implantable heart devices, a site survey to determine levels of electromagnetic energy has become a standard workplace precaution.

EMI assessment will reveal:

  • If an employee with an implantable device can safely return to work.
  • If restrictions to an employee’s work environment are required.
  • In most cases, EMI testing reveals which minor modifications need to be made to satisfy ADA requirements, allowing the employee to function at a high level at his/her former job or at a job of similar level within the company.

Types of workplace measurements:

  • AC Electric fields
  • AC and DC Magnetic fields
  • Radio-frequency fields
  • Conducted Electric fields

Written Report

A written report will be produced with EMI monitoring results, tables, interpretation of those results in accordance with the heart device manufacturer’s recommendations and suggested corrective actions.

EMF Testing USA helps the employer provide a healthy and safe environment for employees returning to work after implantation. EMI measurement is necessary in order to assess areas of potential interference with employees’ heart devices.  The resulting report provides the employer with information showing potential problem areas within the workplace. Recommendations are designed to ensure compliance with device manufacturers’ guidelines and to help satisfy ADA requirements.
