We installed electromagnetic shielding for a home in West Palm Beach, Florida. Workers are installing the shielding on walls adjacent to overhead powerlines near the home. The installed material absorbs and blocks the low-frequency magnetic field.

We did a survey and done EMF Testing for electromagnetic fields with regard to the potential to exceed WHO, ICNIRP, and IEEE guidelines in West Palm Beach, FL.  Stuart Bagley, MS, CIH of IAQ-EMF Consulting Inc. conducted the survey. None of the rooms exceeded the World Health Organization WHO level of concern for magnetic or electric fields.

Note that the highest readings are taken at or near the source of EMF Testing and that readings drop off rapidly with distance from them. Measurements taken usually represent the peak reading at the location tested.  Average exposure in a room is always of lower intensity.
